Yoga fundraiser with Yogacharya Lalit Kumar - Traditional Ashtanga Yoga Teacher from India. Saturday the 28th of August from 10 am- 12pm- Beginners immersion workshop and 2pm- 4pm – Intermediate & advanced workshop, Expert instructor, Director of Himalaya Yoga Valley and teacher Lalit has been practicing yoga for the last twenty years and teaching nationally and internationally. This is a wonderful opportunity to help raise funds for Simon Community whilst exploring the art of yoga! Lalits popular style blends traditional Ashtanga, Iyengar and Hatha yoga teachings. De-stress & re-energise with The Alexander Technique Anyone can benefit.The Alexander Technique is a simple and practical method for improving ease and freedom of movement, balance, support and coordination and release unwanted muscular tension. The aim of this course is to give the participants an introduction to the Alexander Technique, you’ll come away with some tips on how to look after your back and ease some of the muscular pain we all build throughout our everyday activities. Each student will have a chance to receive some individual hands-on work from the teacher. There will also be group activities in which the principles of the Alexander Technique will be explored, as well as periods of guided relaxation.Wear warm, loose, comfortable clothing for moving around in, and bring six thin paperback books. | Spring 2011 | New YTTC 2nd Level Yoga Teacher Training Diploma Course in Cork This 2nd Level Course dove-tails into the Level One Diploma Course; picking up the topics introduced on the Level One Course and expanding on them. It is aimed at already qualified teachers who want to deepen their knowledge of the ancient art of yoga.The course is wide ranging and experiential and includes a variety of asanas, pranayama, mudras, bandhas and other practices which provide a rich source of knowledge for yoga teachers. The format of the presentation of the course as changed, as such we will hold the course over 6 month, one weekend each.
