The YTTC Intensive Level One Yoga Teacher Training Diploma Course is commencing this autumn at Tara’s Retreat. The course will be led by Roy Griffin, Director of the Yoga Therapy & Training Centre, ably assisted by other senior YTTC tutors. It is an intensive 4 week course that will run in two x 2 week blocks.   This will be a wonderful and unique experience for any student teacher; where they can be fully involved with their practice and their training whilst also enjoying the benefits of being in a relaxing location with beautiful weather and no distractions. Tara’s Retreat is situated just outside Cartagena in Murcia, Southern Spain, in a tiny village called La Magdalena. Tara’s Retreat is Vivienne and partner Dan’s home which they have opened up as a Retreat Centre for people wanting to do yoga, pilates, relaxation holidays or residential workshops. It is a large, five-bedroomed, comfortable house set in a secluded and tranquil location. It was once the village school. 

The house can accommodate up to ten people, on the basis of two or more sharing a room. All rooms are fully air-conditioned and have en-suite bathrooms. Inside the house there is also a sizeable country kitchen, living/dining room, main bathroom and a fully mirrored studio with a high ceiling where yoga and pilates classes take place. There is a large terrace outside next to the swimming pool where classes can also be taken in the ever present sunshine. The sun shines all year round and the World Health Organisation claims it to be one of the best and healthiest climates in the world.

 

The house is set in beautiful grounds containing sweet-smelling flowers, orange, lemon, pomegranate and fig trees. There are several pretty areas and seating scattered around, inviting guests to sit and read, or just to relax and contemplate the peaceful surroundings.
