Our System of Training

Our system of classes and training is designed to sysmatically develop well rounded yoga/meditation practitioners and  teachers.

 

 

Yoga is the journey of living consciously, attaining a state of intuitive being with our authentic self. The system of training is designed to sysmatically develop well rounded yoga/meditation practitioners and teachers.

 

 

Some people wish to develop their own personal practice. Others want to share the journey more and train to be a yoga or meditation teacher.

 

 

Like all forms of study after a while you do extended study and specialize in a particular area, this can happen in the form of Level Two Teacher Training or Yoga Meditation. Although it is possible to train as a meditation teacher as your promary interest.

 

 

Some yoga teachers wish to develop their work by teaching yoga for pregnancy, preparing the mothers for birthing and the baby for life, others yearn to teach kids as they grow through to adulthood were others take over and teach more specific styles of yoga to facilitate the different natures of people in the general yoga class.

 

 

So you have different styles of yoga and they all have their roots in Classical Hatha Yoga.

We at the YTTC focus on a system of training rather than a particular style as we feel that all aspects of yoga are equally important in the development of a well rounded life long practice and we show this with our system of classes and training.

 

 

Some teachers wish to develop the advanced levels of yoga, others move into teaching yoga meditation and some wish to support their students with yoga therapy. As we move on through life there are teachers who wish to work with the elders of our society by teaching chair yoga or aqua yoga.

 

 

Yoga is a life long journey of discovery and we at YTTC have the greatest wish to share that journey and celebrate the joy of yoga. Please feel free to contact the office and ask any questions you may have in regard to courses offered.

Please Note:

 

  • A simple way to introduce yourself to the system is attend the different classes offered in the centre or attend the foundation days but neither is required to book onto a training course.
  • Book directly onto the level one teacher training course
  • Equally some students may wish to book directly onto the meditation course as their primary Interest.
  • To book onto a specilist training course you need to be a qualified yoga teacher.

 

 

Weekly Classes:

 

 

Our system of classes is designed to give you a well rounded yoga/meditation practice. The different classes are suitable for beginners. Advancing is about layering the different skills together.

A simple way to describe this is:

 

  • A beginner sees from the outside in, so alignment and the classical postures are important.
  • An intermediate practice is when the practitioner begins to move into their body so breathing and relaxation are layered into the practice. The student begins to breath their personal alignment and see the tips and modification that are revelant to them.
  • An advanded practice is when the practitioner is working from the inside out layering meditation into their practice and moving from their centre.
  • As we move from our centre our authentic self arises.

 

 

Short Courses:

 

 

 

The one day courses suit anyone interested in exploring yoga/meditation at a deeper level and develop a good grounding in a well rounded practice. We begin with understanding the key elements of the different practices, what they are, how to break them down and build them back. How they work together.

 

Along the way many insights will present themselves, with the courses allowing time to explore the reasons why we do what we do in the class. Plus it gives time for the student to ask the questions they always wanted to ask but never had the time.

What is a well rounded teacher?

A well rounded practitioner/teacher is one that understands how asana(posture), pranayama(breathing), yoga nidra(relaxation), meditation and philosophy are one integrated practice and has the ability to demonstraion and communicate this to their students with safety and confidence.

 

 

How do we do this?

By systematically breaking down all the basics and and building them back up. As we build them back up we show you how to layer the different aspects together as one whole practice.

 

 

Our reasoning for this focus is to develop a sustainable yoga career that supports the continual growth of the teacher and student.

 

 

Level One teacher training course brings the practitoner to an intermediate/advanced level depending on their practice with the ability to teach yoga classes with safety and confidence. Having a very good grounding in all aspects of a well rounded yoga class.

 

Most importantly is that you have a genuine interest in understanding yoga. Everything else falls into place on the course with our team of professional and dedicated tutors to guide you through the course.

 

 

Level Two teacher training course brings the practitoner to an advanced level of practice with the ability to teach advanced yoga classes and a very good grounding in all aspects of a well rounded pranayama(breathing) and yoga nidra(relaxation) class.

 

That is truly all it takes for anyone to become a teacher. Everything else falls into place on the course with our team of professional and dedicated tutors to guide you through the course.

 

 

Yoga Meditation teacher training course brings the practitoner to an intermediate/advanced level depending on their meditation practice with the ability to teach meditation classes with safety and confidence.
